In pop Culture, hero has traditionally been held up as the symbol of goodness and representing everything that we should aspire to be. Usually they pictured as a brave, selfless, and willing to do the right thing even facing of overwhelming odds. A name such as: Superman, Spiderman, Captain America and else are familiar as a hero for us, the dream of children all over the world.

The concept of heroism dates to ancient times that can be found in the myth and literature of many cultures throughout history. The ancient Greeks has a rich tradition of hero worship, with figures like Achilles, Odysseus and Hercules that inspired for their bravery, strength, and cunnings.

In the 20th century, the concept of hero continued to evolve, with heroes taking on a wider range of roles and characteristics in literature, film, and other forms of popular culture. According to a 2020 survey conducted by YouthBeat (a market research firm that studies children and families), the top five most popular superheroes among children in the US were: Spiderman, Batman, Superman, Ion Man and Captain America.

In recent years, a new kind of character emerged: the antihero.

Antiheroes are character who are flawed, morally ambiguous and difficult to like. They might be selfish, greedy, even violent but at the same time having a certain charm and charism that draw us in. they may have tragic backstories or motivated by revenge or personal gain. They are not perfect, but often more relatable, and realistic than traditional heroes. That make us need more antiheroes than heroes themselves.

Real life is messy and complicated, that is the challenge our heroes to face. Recently in this simple life, antiheroes are often more realistic than traditional heroes because they are flawed and imperfect, just like how we are. They make mistakes, have a weakness and struggle with their own inner demons. This makes the more relatable, like reflecting on ourselves.

Heroes are often portrayed as completely good, and villains are completely evil. Antiheroes challenge our ideas of right and wrong. They may do some good things and in the other hand, also do bad things. this make us questioned about our own moral beliefs and confront the fact that good and evil are not always black and white.

Let’s agree that traditional heroes can be boring. They always do the right thing, never make mistakes, never stray from their moral code. Antiheroes are much more interesting, they have layers and depth, and their flaws and imperfections make them more compelling to watch.

Antiheroes may not always do the right things, but hey often have a certain charisma and charm that make us want to feel the anyway. This are a powerful tool for inspiring changes. When we see a character who is flawed and imperfect but still manages to make a positive impact on the world, it inspires us to do the same.

Antiheroes offer us another spectrum of humanity and can be necessary part in pop culture. They reflect of the more realistic of the complexity life, challenge us the idea of right and wrong, still, can inspire changes, a fresher figure. <AK25>
